We would love to have your quilt here. Bring it in to the Warehouse for show and tell and get your picture here! We love looking at the finished quilts we helped create.

I will be adding interesting links here for you to explore.
The first is to the lost and stolen quilt site, very worthwhile having a look at this one.

Another site for you to look at especially if you are a William Morris fan is Michele Hill's website which features a lot of background on her patterns and other interesting information.

Andreas Memories Quilt

Dear Sue,
In 2005 my husband and I were touring Australia in our van and I called into your shop. I purchased the material to make a stack and wack Quilt in tones from brown to cream. I started it the next year while I was nursing my Mum who was dying of cancer, but when she passed away I could not go back to it for quite some time. I realised Mum would be disappointed if it never got to be completed so this month I pulled it out of the cupboard and here is the completed product. This is why I have named it memories for my Mum. I thought that I would send you a photo as the lady who served me was so very helpful.
Thanks from a fellow quilter.
Andrea Jacobson

Thanks Andrea for sending us the photo of your fabulous quilt.
Cheers Sue.

Antique Prairie Rose

Yvonne Larham has just completed this needleturned Baltimore quilt which has taken her 8 months from start to finish. Using scraps from her stash the resulting quilt is fabulous. The pattern is from Patchwork & Quilting Vol 10 No2. Greg Camdon from "House of Quilts" did the quilting.

This is a close up of one of the blocks.

Yvonne used fabric paints to give the urns texture.

Weekend sewing retreat at the Warehouse.

We recently had a big sewing weekend here to sew quilts for the Teen Oncology Unit attached to Princess Margaret Hospital for children. We have been making quilts for this unit for about 12 months and sent the first 16 quilts up in march this year.

We wanted to achieve a goal of 20 quilts, but the latest count was between 35 to 40 quilts. We won't know the final count untill all the finished quilts are returned. What a fabulous achievment by about 20 quilters and a couple of ladies who supplied us with soup, scones and muffins to help us on the way.

Thank you to everyone who donated fabric, wadding, cotton and cash towards this great cause and also a big thankyou to all the ladies who came and sewed for the weekend. We are planning to do this again early next year.

This is Paddy Robert's latest quilt from one of our Mystery Quilt Classes last year. Really bright and cheerful.

Chelsea Clouston made this cute baby's quilt for her friend's baby. The pattern came from a recent Patchwork and Quilting Magazine.

Madison Joy

This is my newest Granddaughter Madison Joy born 17th of April weighing 7lb 12 oz.

This is Madison on her Teddy Bear quilt made by her doting Nana.

Maddie and her very proud Mummy and Daddy.

This is Topsy Pratt's Sunbonnet Sue quilt, one of two she has made for her Grand-Daughters.

Paddy's Tiger

This is Paddy Roberts latest quilt made using a tiger panel and combining it with Clayton Stain Glass blocks in a very effective way. Great looking quilt Paddy!

This is Jenny Wellingtons latest creation, a spiderweb quilt. Jen loves to make very large quilts and this one is an excellent example. Looking forward to the next one Jen!

I recently finished this as a display quilt for the shop. It is a Michelle Steele patterns called "Kookaburra or 2". This new technique makes stunning stained glass effect quilts without the hassel of making or sewing down bias binding. It also uses raw edge quilting techniques which are speedy and fun. You will be amazed at how fast this technique can be.

William Morris revisited.

Here is another great Michele Hill pattern in the William Morris Collection. This one is called William Morris Revisited and was also sewn by Sue Porteous using mainly William Morris fabrics.
